The 14th Annual cookie Bowl Canoe Race looked as though it would be held in rough waters. Fortunately, the wind died down, and the Lake was calm and conditions were perfect. 57 boats vied for delectable and much-coveted cookies from Daily Bread in Stockbridge. The fastest time was turned in by veteran paddlers Alex Sabo and Sean Jennings with a time of 48:09, an excellent time for this course. The first single. was, predictably, Paul Dyka of Middletown, CT, with a time of 51:51. Ginny Akabane and Julie Fielding had the fastest time for a women's team at 58:49. Jane Sebring had the fastest women's single time at 68:48.
